Dream Con 2026: The Culture Shift Continues as Dream Con Levels Up in Houston

What started as a convention built by creators for creators has evolved into one of the most influential celebrations of gaming, anime, entertainment, and Black pop culture in America.

Dream Con 2026 returned to Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center from July 10-12, bringing together more than 30,000 fans for three days of cosplay, gaming, celebrity panels, live entertainment, and unforgettable community moments. Founded by the creative powerhouse RDCWorld, Dream Con has become much more than a convention—it’s a cultural movement that continues to redefine what representation in fandom looks like.

A Weekend Built Around Culture and Community

The convention floor was packed with energy from the moment doors opened. Fans traveled from across the country to celebrate everything from anime and comics to esports, filmmaking, music, sports, and internet culture.
