Crank Lucas Gives JQX High Praise During Priority Music Review

Viral producer, comedian and music reviewer Crank Lucas gave JQX a strong review during a recent Priority Music Review, praising the production, commercial potential and cinematic possibilities of the track “Wave At A Hater.”

From the beginning, Crank Lucas noticed something that perfectly matched the attitude behind the record. After someone in the comments expressed that they didn’t like the song, JQX simply responded with a waving emoji.

Crank immediately caught the connection.

He called the response “poetic justice,” pointing out that simply waving at the criticism was probably the perfect reaction considering the message of the song itself.

Crank described “Wave At A Hater” as “very well put together” and “very polished,” while highlighting how the production continues to build throughout the record. “I could see a major music video for this, but really I could hear this in a movie.”

That observation speaks directly to the versatility of JQX’s catalog. Music capable of working inside film, television, advertising and other visual media can take on an entirely different life beyond traditional streaming and radio.

Crank described the record as commercial, catchy and built to make people move, even joking during the review that the track was definitely an “ass shaker.”
