Russell Wilson and Ciara are adding wearable health technology to their growing business portfolio. The Super Bowl champion and Grammy-winning entertainer have joined QALO as co-owners and investors, the company announced on October 20, 2026. The partnership brings their experience in sports, entertainment, and business to a brand expanding its focus on everyday wellness.
Their involvement includes working with QALO’s leadership team to help inform future products, strengthen the customer experience, and introduce the brand to wider audiences. The size of their investment and ownership stake has not been disclosed.
QALO established its name with silicone rings designed for active lifestyles. Its move into wearable technology builds on that foundation, with products intended to fit into daily routines. According to the company, it has served more than 2.2 million customers since launching in 2013—a figure covering its broader business, rather than smart-ring customers alone.
At the center of its technology lineup is the SR-2 Smart Ring, a second-generation device designed to track sleep, activity, and indicators related to stress and recovery. QALO lists heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, and skin-temperature trends among its tracking features. The ring connects with the QALO app, where users can review their data and daily wellness scores.
A key part of the product’s appeal is its subscription-free model. QALO says users do not need a paid membership to access the ring’s tracking features. That gives customers a way to follow their wellness information without adding an ongoing app subscription to the device purchase.
For Wilson and Ciara, the partnership connects with the demands of their own lives. In the announcement, Wilson emphasized understanding the body and prioritizing recovery, while Ciara highlighted the challenge of making time for personal wellness alongside work and parenting.
The investment also adds another category to their existing business interests. Their portfolio includes children’s apparel brand 3BRAND, while Ciara’s ventures include Beauty Marks Entertainment and OAM Skincare. Together, the couple also established Why Not You Productions and the Why Not You Foundation. Those ventures provide context for their latest move: building businesses across the different ways people dress, entertain themselves, and care for their everyday needs.
The business opportunity is clear: Wilson and Ciara bring substantial public visibility to a product category that can require explanation. Their challenge as owners will be helping QALO turn that attention into lasting customer trust. With the SR-2’s focus on everyday tracking and subscription-free access, the company has a straightforward message for them to help communicate.
